Together with the 8th Schweisstec international trade fair for joining technology, the 15th Blechexpo international trade fair for sheet metal processing being held in Stuttgart from 26 to 29 October 2021 as a proven double pack is reporting a highly satisfactory booking status. Exhibitors and expert visitors are looking forward to world-class cutting-edge technologies in the fields of sheet metal processing and metalworking in combination with joining technology at an international level.
Once every two years, the Blechexpo/Schweisstec trade fair duo presents standalone and system solutions for the process sequences associated with the fabrication of parts made from sheet metal, profiles and pipe. The event is known as a unique and globally recognised marketplace for the issues of thermal and mechanical processing of sheet metal, pipe and profiles, cutting technologies, processing machines, equipment for punching, bending, braking and forming, as well as system peripherals including controls and software, and solutions for handling and quality assurance. “For years now, the complementary Blechexpo/Schweisstec trade fair duo has been enjoying an outstanding international reputation and has proven its unique process competence again and again,” confirms project manager Georg Knauer. “Bookings for 2021 have been arriving at a very brisk rate already for months, which shows us just how much the exhibitors are looking forward to the on-site event and direct customer contact in a real trade fair atmosphere.”
The Concept: Thematically Focused and Practice-Oriented
Once again in 2021, the trade fair promoters are pursuing a strictly practice-oriented trade fair concept. The project team is planning booth enlargements for all exhibition halls. Thanks to numerous, clear-cut demonstrations of high-performance machines, tooling and systems, investment plans will be able to evolve into concrete decisions. Expert visitors will also benefit from the highly practical and time-saving synergy effects provided by the trade fair duo. Digitalisation, sustainability, process efficiency and future-proof solutions in a rapidly changing production environment are amongst the dominant driving issues in the sheet metal processing industries – which was already clearly evident in 2019. Advanced mechanical joining and fastening technologies are also of great interest because new plain and hybrid materials are finding their way into the production environment, for example within the context of lightweight design. Modern cutting technologies, such as high-pressure water-jet cutting, are also attracting attention again.
Grinding Technology Centre in Hall 5: Improved, Faster Orientation
All exhibitors from the field of grinding technology will come together in hall 5, where they’ll set up a centre for grinding technology. This will make it possible for expert visitors to experience all of the latest new products and quickly establish contacts in an efficient and concentrated manner. The grinding technology segment will be color-coded in the digital hall floor plans, which will support a time-optimised trade fair visit with minimal legwork, and ultimately a successful exchange of technical information.
Sheet metal handling and processing is of central importance in every branch of manufacturing, because the production process begins with coil handling, followed by punching, bending, pressing and braking. Due to the fact that these process steps are being networked and automated to an ever greater extent, a consistently digitalised setting for sheet metal processing and metalworking will also be one of the core issues at Blechexpo/Schweisstec in 2021 as well.
„Be Part of the Best“ – Business Contacts for Future Projects which Promote Investment
“The industry is looking forward to the globally recognised technology and knowledge platform covering all aspects of sheet metal, pipe and profile processing, as well as welding, joining and fastening technology,” says Bettina Schall, managing director of P. E. SCHALL GmbH & Co. KG. “Our project team conceives topics and supplementary events such that all of the prerequisites for an ideal business exchange are fulfilled for the exhibitors and the expert visitors.” And thus as a leading trade fair with great international significance, the Blechexpo/Schweisstec trade fair duo will attract experts to Stuttgart from all over the world with its product and service offerings. All involved parties are looking forward to the personal exchange of information and experience. In 2019, exhibitors from 36 countries and visitors from a total of 113 nations came to Stuttgart.
