PROfirst TubeCalc - Calculations software for tube and profile calculation
What does this module do?
With this optional add-on module, in addition to sheet metal parts, all types of profiles such as angles, I-beams, pipes, etc. are also analyzed. This enhanced component analysis uses state-of-the-art AI algorithms to identify standard profiles not only by their part name, but also by their geometry.
Why do I need this?
The identified profiles are not only counted, measured, and categorized, but also analyzed for cutouts and notches. The profiles, along with the sheet metal parts, are then passed on to the PROfirst component cost calculation module.
How are the profiles then calculated?
As with sheet metal parts, prices can be stored in the database, calculated based on length, area, or weight. For the calculation, the components are optimally nested on the entered standard length, and the cutting lengths are determined based on sections and notches. For calculating the cutting time, the material and thickness-dependent cutting speed, contour dimensions, and the individual acceleration values of your tube laser are taken into account, just like for sheet metal parts.
What else is taken into account?
In addition to the standard length, you can also define the edge preparation and the kerf width. After nesting, you can decide whether to bill for the entire length of the material or only the used portion.
