Blechexpo/Schweisstec 2021: complete process chain!

Schweisstec Internationale Fachmesse für Fügetechnologie csm Blechexpo Schweisstec 2021 komplette Prozesskette 4673e18d15 uai

Cutting-edge technologies in sheet metal and metal processing, including joining technology, are the topic of the 15th Blechexpo – International Trade Fair for Sheet Metal Working, which will be held together with the 8th Schweisstec – International Trade Fair for Joining Technology – in the traditional and proven double-header from October 26 to 29, 2021 in Stuttgart. Internationally and at a first-class level, exhibitors here present detailed and system solutions for complete process chains in sheet metal, profile and tube parts production.

The Blechexpo/Schweisstec trade fair showcases first-class sheet metal and metalworking technologies, including joining technology, every two years. The high level of bookings for the event in the fall of 2021, which has been going on for months, underscores how much the industry values this trade show as a unique and globally recognized marketplace: The focus is on detailed and system solutions for the process chains in sheet metal, profile and tube part production, their thermal and mechanical machining and processing, cutting technologies, processing machines, systems for punching, bending, folding and forming as well as system peripherals with controls and software and finally solutions for handling and quality assurance. With process-transparent demonstrations on the high-performance machines, tools and systems, the exhibitors create the basis for planned investment projects on the part of the trade visitors to become concrete decisions.

At the top of the agenda: networking!

Sheet metal processing companies are facing the challenge of networking their production more and more in the future. For this reason, many suppliers from the sheet metal and metalworking sectors as well as joining technology see themselves as solution providers for the entire sheet metal production process. They not only offer their own machines, software and services, but can also provide holistic, systemic solutions from a single source through cooperation with partners. Trumpf in Ditzingen, for example, implements this approach, confirms Joachim Silber, Head of Corporate Marketing, Sales and Services at Trumpf: “Together with Jungheinrich, we offer intralogistics solutions for sheet metal production. Our customers thus have the advantage that the solutions are excellently coordinated with each other.” The topic of networking is at the top of the agenda for companies – both in terms of processes and digitally: “Digital networking is not only a central trend of our time, but also determines the future. Some of our machines are already working with artificial intelligence, and in the future there will be many more,” informs Joachim Silber.

Focus on driver topics – advantage through synergy effects

In 2021, trade fair organizer Schall will again be following its proven, strictly practice-oriented trade fair concept. Exhibitors and trade visitors benefit from the synergy effects of the trade fair duo. As in almost all industries, digitalization, sustainability, process efficiency, and future-proof solutions in the course of a rapidly changing production world are priority driver topics in the sheet metal working industry as well. All the more so because energy efficiency is also still in focus, modern mechanical joining and bonding technology is of great interest because production is increasingly working with new materials and hybrid materials, for example in lightweight construction. Modern cutting technologies, such as high-pressure waterjet cutting, will also be in the spotlight at Blechexpo/Schweisstec. In Hall 5, all exhibitors from the field of grinding technology will come together and thus present all innovations to the trade visitors in a concentrated manner and within short distances.

“Personal contact is particularly important for us”.

Because all process stations in sheet metal and metal processing are increasingly networked and automated, end-to-end digitization will be a core theme at Blechexpo/Schweisstec. Exhibitors and trade visitors appreciate the unique and outstanding process competence of the complementary trade fair duo Blechexpo/Schweisstec; the excellent booking status proves how much exhibitors look forward to the presence event and direct customer contact in the context of a real trade fair atmosphere. This is also the case at Trumpf: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming our customers and interested parties in person at trade shows again soon – very directly and without a monitor. Personal contact is particularly important for us,” states Joachim Silber. The Schall project team for Blechexpo/Schweisstec is once again working in a concentrated manner to ensure that exhibitors and trade visitors find the best conditions for an optimal business exchange.
